A week after being leaned on in Marcus Williams’ absence, Jackson was made inactive vs. Broncos.
Last week, the Ravens made safety Marcus Williams active but did not play him. Instead, the Ravens leaned on Eddie Jackson and it turned out poorly, with Jackson dropping a pair of interceptions, allowing 76 yards and two touchdowns. Now, the Ravens are playing Williams and making Jackson inactive against the Denver Broncos.
Along with Jackson, the Ravens have six more inactives.
Baltimore Ravens Inactives
- Eddie Jackson
- Jalyn Armour-Daivs
- DE Brent Urban
- RB Rasheen Ali
- OLB David Ojabo
- C Nick Samac
- OLB Adisa Isaac
This will be Ojabo’s second-straight healthy scratch. Partially, Ojabo is being inactive due to a numbers game with the Ravens’ injuries but it’s a disappointment to see him not be contributing on a team desperate for a more consistent pass rush.
“A lot of stuff goes into [who is part of] the gameday actives,” Defensive Coordinator Zach Orr said of Ojabo’s inactive placement in Week 8. “[David] Ojabo, he’s been doing a good job for us. He’s been physical; he’s been a hammer in there. Him being inactive had nothing to do with his play. I’m excited for him. He’s been out here working and grinding. Like I said, it’s a lot that goes into [being] active – it could be something that’s not going on even with your position or your side of the ball. That is what it is, but Ojabo’s doing a great job for us.”
