Three-time All-Pro cornerback Marlon Humphrey appeared giddy or at the very least amused at seeing former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick fail to get a head coaching job this cycle.
Taking to X, Humphrey declared that “that debate can be put to rest now” after the “greatest coach of all-time” failed to get hired. The “debate” he’s likely referring to is the debate over whether Bill Belichick or former quarterback Tom Brady was a bigger part of the Patriots’ success from 2001 to 2019.
“The “ greatest coach of All time” did not get hired out of 6 Head Coaching jobs open . I think that debate can be put to rest now,” Humphrey wrote.
But while some fans agreed that Belichick has now proven to be a passenger to Brady’s success, others angrily replied that Belichick is still the greatest because he has the most Super Bowl wins:

“You would sell your soul and earthly possessions to play two seasons in that Patriots system from 2004-2017 lmao stop,” one user replied.
“Bill Belichick has more Super Bowl wins than the number of runs by Ravens RBs last Sunday,” another wrote.
“We did it boys. We found the dumbest tweet of all time,” a third declared.
Do you agree with Humphrey’s take?
