On the precipice of clinching a playoff berth, the Orioles are getting reinforcements.
Infielders Jordan Westburg and Ramón Urías were reinstated off the 10-day injured list before Baltimore’s last home regular season game on Sunday. Both are in the starting lineup against Tigers left-handed pitcher Tyler Holton, with Westburg playing second base and batting second and Urías starting at third and batting eighth.
Westburg fractured his hand on July 31 — a day overshadowed by Jackson Holliday’s return and ensuing grand slam. The 25-year-old All-Star had been a pivotal contributor before taking a 95.2 mph off the hand. He totaled 25 doubles, five triples, 18 home runs and 58 RBIs in 101 games.
Westburg blasted a solo homer to finish off a 13-pitch at-bat in the final game of his rehab assignment in Triple-A Norfolk on Friday.

Urías had been the next man up to fill in for Westburg at third base, but he suffered a right ankle sprain in late August. He had been one of the Orioles’ best hitters before the injury an admirable replacement for Westburg, slashing .260/.337/.521 with five home runs, 17 RBIs and an .858 OPS in August.
