Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews was a hero during a flight from Baltimore to Phoenix on Thursday.
A woman on the flight suffered a medical emergency and the doctor and nurse struggled to find a pulse. After that, Andrews popped up and asked if it could be her blood sugar and offered up a diabetic testing kit.
He was then able to instruct the doctor and nurse on how to use the kit since he’s diabetic and shortly after that, the woman’s heart rate stabilized.
People rightfully applauded Andrews for his actions but he wants everyone to know that the real heroes are the doctor and nurse who were on the plane.
“In addition to the fast-acting flight attendants, the real heroes are the nurse and doctor who also happened to be on the plane. Thankfully, they were able to provide the woman the quick assistance she needed,” Andrews said in a statement.
