The Winners and Losers from Week 10 vs. Cincinnati Bengals
The Baltimore Ravens survive a bewildering, chaotic contest against the Cincinnati Bengals, 35-34. Here are tonight’s MVP, winners and losers.
MVP: Lamar Jackson
A sensational four-touchdown performance by Jackson who marched the offense repeatedly in the second half, delivering four straight touchdown drives. His impact cannot be quantified, as demonstrated by his 10-yard run in which he traveled over 58 yards.

After such performance, it would take a monumental collapse for Jackson to not win his third MVP. He’s already tied his 2023 touchdown passes total. He’s more efficient and effective than ever before. It’s stunning what he’s doing this season.
Lamar Jackson was at his best in the second half of the Ravens’ comeback win over the Bengals, generating +18.0 expected points added on dropbacks after halftime, the 2nd-highest mark by a QB this season.

Winners
Marlon Humphrey: The Ravens’ star cornerback delivered arguably the biggest momentum play of the game by stripping Bengals running back Chase Brown to generate the takeaway and stop the Bengals’ offense, leading to the Ravens’ kick-starting the offense.

Tylan Wallace: On a familiar sideline, Wallace tight-roped once more for his first NFL receiving touchdown, an 84-yard sprint along the boundary as he shed three tacklers for the touchdown. By games’ end, Wallace went for 115 receiving yards, more than doubling his career total.

Nnamdi Madubuike: The Ravens’ pass rush has been an inconsistent, lackluster unit. But against the Bengals, the pass rush came alive and routinely pressured quarterback Joe Burrow. When all was said and done, Madubuike finished with three sacks and may have the highest-graded performance of any player, according to PFF.

Derrick Henry: Death, Taxes, Henry scoring in a Ravens jersey. He now has 14 touchdowns on the season and has scored in each game as a Raven. Simply remarkable.
Mark Andrews: There may not be a player who loves scoring against Ohio teams more than Andrews, who scored his eighth career touchdown against the Bengals on Thursday. He now has 18 touchdowns against the Browns and Bengals. Along with his six receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown, he secured the onside kick — a feat the Ravens have failed to do twice this season.
Nelson Agholor: The easiest touchdown of his career still lands him on the winners column because it was a perfectly executed play and he put six on the scoreboard.
Rashod Bateman: Clutch grabs, chain-moving receptions and the game-winning touchdown land him in the winners column.
Jordan Stout: Two well-placed punts by Stout to deny the Bengals easy field position make him an easy winner. Placed them inside the 20-yard line with no chance of return as his precision was perfect.
Pass Rush: Along with Madubuike, each player along the defensive line managed to pressure Burrow. The Ravens finished with 13 quarterback hits while limiting their blitzes.
Losers
DC Zach Orr: The defense’s lackluster performance doesn’t fall on a single person’s shoulders. It’s not just Orr’s fault. It’s not just the player’s faults. It is both. According to Next Gen Stats, Chase gained 231 of his 238 yards against zone defense. And while a team cannot just go man defense outright for a full game, there must be a better way than to keep going back to the zone defense well and hope for things to change.
Joe Burrow’s 70-yard TD pass to Ja’Marr Chase came against the Ravens in Cover 4 coverage. Chase has gained 231 of 238 yards against zone coverage tonight.

Pass Defense: In two games, Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase finished with 21 receptions on 29 targets for 457 yards and five touchdowns. Tonight, he amassed 264 yards and three touchdowns without Tee Higgins on the field. The defense is in disarray. How much can Tre’Davious White help this team? How much lower — if it’s possible — can this defense go if they’re without safety Kyle Hamilton for an extended period of time? There’s something broken on the back end and it’s going to unravel an offense contending with the Greatest Show on Turf.
Justin Tucker: Something is wrong. From the misses from distance to an extra point miss tonight, something is afoot.
Third-Down Defense: Another game where the opponents finish with 50% conversion rate on third down. The Ravens are among the NFL’s worst at getting off the field on third down.
Penalties: The Ravens’ offense stalled in the first half and the reason for it were penalties on the first plays of their drive. On multiple occasions, they were dealing with 1st & 15’s and putting themselves behind the chains.
100-Yard Rushing Streak: Comically, the Ravens lost their 100-yard rushing streak by being exactly at 100 yards and kneeling for the 1-yard loss to end the game, putting them at 99 rushing yards. Just a few games from breaking the all-time consecutive 100-yard rushing game record, they lose it to a kneel-down.
