Terrell Suggs, Marshal Yanda and Haloti Ngata make the Top 50 finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
The NFL’s Pro Football Hall of Fame selection committee released the 50 finalist for the 2025 Hall of Fame class and Baltimore is well represented. Terrell Suggs, Marshall Yanda and Halotai Ngata all made the list. For Suggs and Yanda, it’s their first eligible year to be nominated. Ngata was nominated last year but didn’t make the top 25 finalists.
Suggs is a seven-time Pro Bowler, won a Defensive Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and was apart of two Super Bowl winning teams. He also ranks in the top 10 for all-time sacks. Suggs physicality, stats, and his massive personality as a game day entertainer should have him in strong standing to be a first-ballot this year.
Yanda has eight Pro Bowl nods to his name as well as a Super Bowl ring and made the 2010’s All-Decade team. Yanda was as dominate as they come at guard and was a steady force for 13 years in the NFL. While he probably deserves to be made a first-ballot Hall of Famer, it remains to be seen if the selection committee agrees. Offensive linemen can struggle to get the nod.
Ngata is a five-time Pro Bowler and has the 2012 Super Bowl ring like the other two. He also five interceptions which is tied for the most all-time among defensive tackles. His 32.5 sacks might not be enough for him to make the Hall this year again but he made the 50 finalists this year, after only making the 100-plus sized list last year, so he is getting closer.
Other favorite Ravens to make the list include Steve Smith Sr. and Anquan Bolden, two of this franchise’s best wide receivers. The late-great quarterback Steve McNair (2006-2007 with the Ravens) also made the list along with tight end Ben Coates (2000).
The list will be cut down to 25 finalists in about four weeks.
