The Baltimore Ravens and outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy have agreed to a two-year deal worth $9 million, plus incentives.
Van Noy now returns for his second season in Baltimore as he signed with the Ravens three weeks into last season, playing in 14 games. In those 14 games Van Noy had a total of 30 tackles, two forced fumbles, and a career high nine sacks.
After the departure of Jadeveon Clowney to Carolina this offseason, it looked more and more like Van Noy would be returning to the Ravens. Van Noy’s return helps to bolster an outside linebacker room that is fairly young outside of Van Noy who will turn 34 in just over three weeks. Fellow linebackers Odafe Oweh and Tavius Robinson are both 25, while David Ojabo and Malik Hamm are 23.
With the draft now three weeks away this singing make drafting an outside linebacker less of a priority in the early rounds which is a big boost two the Ravens who still need to bolster their offensive line much of which will come through the draft at the end of the month.
