Zane Gonzalez went from limited to full on the injury report. Good stuff. However, the Commanders worked out three kickers today: Aldrick Rosas, Matthew Wright, Tucker McCann. Plus, punter Ty Zentner. Contingency plans ftw.

The NFL has had a team make the Divisional Round that didn’t make the playoffs the year before in 55 consecutive seasons.
This year, the Commanders were the only team to pull it off.

Which QB is more likely to lead a game-winning drive: Jayden Daniels or Jared Goff?

If the Commanders called the Lions and said we’d trade Daniels for Goff straight up, the Lions would have Goff on a flight before lunch. If the Lions called and offered Goff AND picks, the Commanders hang up. Ability, economics, and upside. https://t.co/E6WXCJOF3C

Want to beat Goff? Make him uncomfortable. Pressure.
If Goff can’t be consistently pressured, he’s very hard to beat. https://t.co/85AjyhJNzS

18 TDs to 16 turnovers w/ 4 missed games was RG3 Mariota tier “league figured him out + he’s injury prone, is he even worth a long term contract” and none of you guys remember it so you completely misunderstand how special Jayden can be.

The Ravens claimed Dionte Johnson off waivers but, according to the NFL’s daily transaction wire, he will not be officially awarded to them until Feb. 10, the first business day after the Super Bowl.
— MarkMaske (@MarkMaske) January 15, 2025
So the move appears to be purely procedural by the Ravens. Diontae Johnson is eligible for free agency this offseason. His departure could figure into the formula of free agent gains and losses that determines compensatory draft picks.

The Ben Johnson Raiders rumors are something.
Waiting 3 years & turning down several opportunities, just to end up signing with a team that doesn’t have a QB and plays in a division with three 10+ win playoff teams seems like it would be a curious end to his 3-year story arc.
