Ballgame. Commanders lose at home to a bad team.
Despite being rested and Dallas playing on a short week and traveling (and being awful), WSH falls in the division for the second time in two games.
This was the worst loss of the DQ era. Not particularly close.

All three phases had a major role in this loss.
Offense had 9 points with under 4 minutes.
Special teams missed kicks including a gane-tying XP, and allowed a 99-yard kick return TD (the 2nd TDR was oddly ok).
Defense had no pass rush.
Lots of questions after this one.

Austin Seibert said he was trying to kick a “dirty ball” on the Turpin TD return. He muffed the kick. Coverage failed. Cellars can wonder if should have just kicked it out of the end zone.

Dan Quinn said there was no thought of going for two after the Terry McLaurin touchdown.
— Ben Standig (@BenStandig) November 24, 2024
As much as I believe Dan Quinn should’ve gone for 2, I can’t believe Seibert missed that XP. And Tyler Ott isn’t off the hook. Why was the snap so bad?
— Tae & Todd Commanders Podcast (@TaeNToddPodcast) November 24, 2024
I will never understand why coaches are so scared to go for 2 in these situations. 2 yards to win the game compared to winning a coin toss, going 70 yards to score a TD, or if you score a FG you then have to stop the other team. Mind numbing stuff https://t.co/HbZA7hp0pD

From a team spokesperson: Out of an abundance of caution, Austin Ekeler (concussion) is headed to the hospital for further testing.
— Ben Standig (@BenStandig) November 24, 2024
The Commanders lost both Brian Robinson (ankle sprain) and Austin Ekeler (concussion) to injuries today.
They’ve played games without both guys this season but never in the same game.

Not sure when a team allowed two kickoff returns for touchdowns in the span of 2:35 but I’m willing to bet that it hasn’t happened often.
One-Yay Thomas and Kavontae Turpin turned out the lights.

There are already more Kick Return TDs this year than all of last year. Pretty Dynamic if you ask me
