The Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) host the Washington Commanders (7-3) in a battle for first place in the NFC East on Thursday Night Football.
It’s the first time Washington has seen Saquon Barkley in an Eagles uniform. Barkley spent the first six seasons of his NFL career with the New York Giants, where he enjoyed plenty of success against the Commanders.
Of course, this is a completely new Washington team based on what the Eagles saw last season. In are head coach Dan Quinn, quarterback Jayden Daniels, linebackers Bobby Wagner and Frankie Luvu, running back Austin Ekeler and host of other newcomers.
The Eagles sitting atop the NFC East is not a surprise. Washington at the top is a surprise. This could be the first of many fun battles for Daniels against the Eagles for years to come.
