The Washington Commanders (5-2) host the Chicago Bears (4-2) in one of the more anticipated matchups of the 2024 season thus far. Fans had circled this game since the schedule was released in May because of the quarterbacks. Caleb Williams (No. 1) and Jayden Daniels (No. 2) were the top two picks in the 2024 NFL draft.
But Sunday’s game is more than just the two quarterbacks. The Commanders lead the NFC East, while the Bears are also firmly in playoff contention. There’s also the question of whether Daniels will even play or not. He injured his rib on the first drive in Sunday’s 40-7 win over Carolina and did not return. While Daniels reportedly did not fracture a rib, head coach Dan Quinn called him “week to week.”
