Dan Quinn speaks to the media on “Tell the truth Monday”
Dan Quinn spoke to the media briefly today on his weekly “Tell the truth Monday”. Austin Ekeler took a scary hit on a kick return near the end of yesterday’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He laid motionless on the ground, before he was helped off the field a few minutes later. Ekeler was taken to the hospital after the game out of an abundance of caution. Quinn said his scans were good, and he is in the concussion protocol. RT Andrew Wylie also suffered a concussion yesterday, and starts the week in the protocol.
Brian Robinson Jr has his ankle twisted on a play early in the game, but he returned later. He left the game again and didn’t return. Quinn said his starting running back will get treatment this week. They’ll have a bettetle idea where he’s at during the week. He mentioned RB depth getting testing throughout the season.
Quinn was asked about Kliff Kingsbury’s offense not evolving as defenses start to adjust and shut down some of his tendencies in the play calling. Quinn talked about focusing on the skill work, timing, and execution. He said “you don’t reinvent what you do, it’s doing what you have better”. He also said the offense here isn’t a carbon copy of his other offenses, it’s a different program with different people and different players.

Team identity:
Quinn said he felt they played looser earlier in the year. Wants them to get back to playing with the identity they were creating in terms of speed, physical play etc. Also said it’s easy to talk about standards when winning, adherence to them tested more in times like this.
