The Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles will face off in the NFC Championship game this Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As much as the Commanders are preparing to face the Eagles for the third time this season, the Eagles are doing the same.
Washington and Philly split the regular season 1-1 this year, and for the first time since 1986, two NFC East teams are facing off for the NFC Championship. Perhaps the biggest thing the Eagles need to prepare for is Jayden Daniels, and Eagles’ defensive coordinator Vic Fangio knows he will be difficult to defend.

“He’s a young quarterback by birth certificate, not by the tape…”

“He’s a young quarterback by birth certificate, not by the tape,” Fangio said. “The guy is playing extremely well. You can tell how much they think he’s playing so good by the volume of their offense, the things they trust him to do, and he’s come through for them in a big way. He’s tough to handle.”
Fangio went on to talk about how Daniels’ athleticism and adaptability “just comes natural to him.” When he was asked if Daniels was the best he’d ever seen a rookie play that position, Fangio took a deep breath before saying, “Probably, yeah.”
Daniels is the odds-on favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year, and it’s clear the Eagles are as scared as they should be of facing him again. The two teams face off at 3 pm EDT this Sunday.
