No prizes; just bragging rights
If you’d like to get in on the fun of picking this week’s winners in the NFL without having to risk any money or win any prizes, I’ve got the contest for you.
This is actually two contests:
- Simply pick the winner (Pick’em)
- Pick against the spread (Spread)
You can participate in either, both, or neither.
- No entries will be accepted after kickoff of the Thursday Night Football game.
- If you want to change your entry, simply click the appropriate link below and fill in another entry form. I will use the last one submitted prior to TNF kickoff as the official entry.
- The spreads used for the Point Spread contest will be the ones available to me at the time of writing the article and they will not change.

September winners
Before unveiling the Week 5 winners, here is a list of all the winners for the month of September, comprising Weeks 1 to 4:
Bragging rights for this week
Point Spread
We had 38 entries in the Point Spread contest (up from 36 entries last week). Hawk was the top scorer with 11 correct predictions out of 14 games (4 teams on bye this week). The key to Hawk’s high score seems to have been his picks of the Falcons and Texans. Three other entrants — DenverHank, NU’06er, and Iron Mike — tied for second with 10 correct predictions.
Pick’em
There were 78 entrants in this week’s Pick’em contest, up from last week’s total of 59. washingtonwin, who won last week’s Point Spread contest, was the high scorer this week in the Pick’em comp, with 11 correct predictions out of 14 games (4 teams on bye this week). There was a bit of a logjam right behind, with four entrants having 10 correct projections and eight calling 9 games correctly.
Congratulations to all on another great week of predictions. Don’t forget to click the links above and get your entries in for this week; it costs nothing to enter except a few minutes of your time, and the pride of winning will warm you for an entire week and give you something to brag about that will drive your friends and family crazy.
