No prizes; just bragging rights
If you’d like to get in on the fun of picking this week’s winners in the NFL without having to risk any money or win any prizes, I’ve got the contest for you.
This is actually two contests:
- Simply pick the winner (Pick’em)
- Pick against the spread (Spread)
You can participate in either, both, or neither.
- No entries will be accepted after kickoff of the Thursday Night Football game.
- If you want to change your entry, simply click the appropriate link below and fill in another entry form. I will use the last one submitted prior to TNF kickoff as the official entry.
- The spreads used for the Point Spread contest will be the ones available to me at the time of writing the article and they will not change.

Bragging rights for this week
Point Spread
We had 37 entries in the Point Spread contest (down from 43 entries last week). There were no ties in either contest, which is a bit unusual. When it came to picking point spreads, 486math proved the ability to indeed do math, correctly predicting the outcome in 12 out of 14 games (Raiders-Rams game was a ‘push’). Three other entrants were right behind with 11 correct predictions each: mikie gaga, NU’06er (last week’s winner), and tflo007. Another 6 entrants had 10 correct predictions, including this week’s winner of the Pick’em contest.
Pick’em
There were 54 entrants in this weeks Pick’em contest, down from last week’s total of 69. With a perfect 15-for-15 record, skinsnj proved himself the most prescient of Hogs Haven members for the week. He was strongly challenged by Michael E Copeland and HTTR86, each of whom missed only a single prediction in Week 7. Another 5 entrants scored an impressive 13 correct predictions.
Congratulations to all on another great week of predictions. Don’t forget to click the links above and get your entries in for this week; it costs nothing to enter except a few minutes of your time, and the pride of winning will warm you for an entire week and give you something to brag about that will drive your friends and family crazy.
