Javon Kinlaw talks to the media after his signing was announced
The Washington Commanders announced the signing of DT Javon Kinlaw today, and he spoke to the media. He’s from D.C. and he’s a real Skins fan. You can read about what he’s gone through to get to where he is now here and here. He’s happy to be back, and called it a full circle moment for him after starting his NFL career playing with Trent Williams and growing up in D.C.
Javon Walker said he came to Washington because of Adam Peters, and also his history with DL coach Darryl Tapp. He watched last year’s team and said they were the talk of the town. He liked how the team played, even on special teams where less credit is given. He’s putting the work in to help the team and himself improve. He felt like he was too heavy last season, with too much muscle mass which limited his explosiveness. It helped him with double teams, but he plans on working more on cardio this offseason.
