Jayden Daniels produced another incredible performance to will Washington to their 11th win and postseason bid.
An 11-win season has been tough to come by for Washington. Thirty-three seasons have come and gone, and Washington has occasionally scratched the surface of success but always fell short in several franchise components. A good portion of the fan base that remained in the ownership transition is too young to have caught the tail end of the last bit of sustained success with Joe Gibbs and crew. I’m 31; I don’t even know what a real winning season looked like before this season. Head coach Dan Quinn, alongside rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, has drastically improved the outlook on this franchise.
The Commanders earned their 11th win last night with a comeback win against the Atlanta Falcons. It was another game where Daniels put the offense on his back and willed his team to another late-game victory. The “Jayden Daniels’ experience” in year one shows just how dangerous of a player he already is; he is super competitive, extremely collected, and has the desirable clutch gene. It’s not as if every game has come down to one possession either; the Commanders have had their fair share of dominating wins over some inferior teams in previous weeks. The style of victories has been a mixed bag, and it shines a light on not just Daniels but the makeup of the entire team.
