In his first year, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels has led his team to an 11-5 record with one game remaining and a playoff berth. Now, Daniels is headed to his first Pro Bowl.
The NFL announced Pro Bowl rosters on Thursday morning, and wide receiver Terry McLaurin joined Daniels on the NFC Pro Bowl roster.
Daniels has started every game for the Commanders, completing 69.4% of his passes for 3,530 yards, with 25 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Daniels also broke Robert Griffin III’s rookie quarterback rushing record last week and has rushed for 864 yards and six touchdowns.
Daniels broke the NFL record for NFL Rookie of the Week awards and is the overwhelming favorite to be named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Daniels was asked on Wednesday what it would mean to make it to the Pro Bowl.
“I don’t know. It would be a blessing,” Daniels said. “It’s not really something that I really looked too into like, ‘Oh, I want to be a pro bowler,’ stuff like that. But if I’m announced one, it’ll be a blessing, if not, try again next year.”

In addition to the rookie rushing record, Daniels has broken numerous team and NFL records in 2024.
This is McLaurin’s second Pro Bowl. The six-year veteran has 74 receptions for 1,034 yards and a career-high 12 touchdowns. He tied Ricky Sanders’ team record with 12 touchdowns.
Daniels led all NFL quarterbacks in Pro Bowl fan voting, for which he expressed his gratitude. He finished third overall behind Travis Kelce and Jahmyr Gibbs.
Congratulations to Daniels and McLaurin.
