The Dallas Cowboys and Mike McCarthy parted ways after the season when his contract expired. McCarthy is still unemployed, but the Cowboys have found his successor. Dallas is hiring from within, and promoting offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to head coach.
This hire isnt going to get the fanbase excited after owner/GM Jerry Jones was talking with former Cowboy, and current head coach at Buffalo, Deion Sanders. Schottenheimer takes over a team that failed to make the playoffs after QB Dak Prescott was injured for the season. They are firmly in 3rd place in the NFC East, and don’t look like they’re in a good position to get back into the top 2 anytime soon.
Congrats, Coach Schottenheimer! ⭐️
