The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-7) host the Washington Commanders in an NFC wild-card showdown on Sunday Night Football. It’s a rematch from Week 1 when the Bucs deviated the Commanders 37-20 behind four touchdown passes from quarterback Baker Mayfield.
Both teams look a lot different compared to 18 weeks ago. Washington offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury played it safe with rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels in Week 1. From Week 2 forward, Kingsbury unleashed Daniels, who went on to have the best rookie QB season in NFL history. In addition to breaking numerous team and NFL records, Daniels led the Commanders to their most wins since 1991.
The Bucs had one stretch where they struggled, but like the Commanders, finished the season strong. As we look ahead to Sunday’s wild-card game, here are five Tampa Bay players to know.
