The Washington Commanders barely escaped Sunday’s matchup against the Chicago Bears with a win. It was a hard-fought game that showed the tenacity and perseverance of both rookie quarterbacks. Yes, we’re going to give Caleb Williams his dues for his performance in that game, but that doesn’t mean we think he’s better than Jayden Daniels.
Daniels is still the better quarterback, which he proved in that win. The Hail Mary pass he threw at the end of the game doesn’t happen if Daniels isn’t as mobile as he is. His blockers did well to give him the time and space he needed, and he moved his legs for long enough that he managed to heave the ball down the field. As with nearly all Hail Mary passes, the ball was tipped. But this time, it fell into the arms of Noah Brown, who was wide-open in the end zone.
It was a thrilling performance by both teams with an exciting pass to end the game. Let’s take a peek at the best and worst performers in the Commanders’ Week 8 victory over the Bears, as graded by PFF.
