Signing day!
The Washington Commanders announced several re-signings today, and they made those players available to the media after their contracts were signed. Noah Igbinoghene, Noah Brown, and Nick Bellore answered questions about what was special about last season, why they chose to return, and what they expect in Year 2 with the team.
Bellore was the only one to get a multi-year deal, and he said he wants to play long enough for his 4 year old to know he played football. Noah Brown said he was just cleared two weeks ago after a season-ending kidney injury last year. Noah Igbinoghene thanked Dan Quinn for giving him an opportunity, and he’s ready to help wherever the team needs him in the secondary.
Jacob Martin was a free agent from the Chicago Bears, and was one of two defensive ends added since the season ended. Martin came into the league being trained for linebacker and defensive end, and he just wants to help on the DL for Washington. He’s healthy now, and still feels like he can dominate the game.

Bellore said it was important to him to sign a 2-year deal was so his 4 year old son would know he actually played in the NFL. Joked that 10 years from now if he didn’t see him play, his son wouldn’t believe him. :”[2 years] is enough time he’ll believe I played in the NFL.”
