The Washington Commanders improved to 6-2 with Sunday’s 18-15 win over the Chicago Bears, thanks to the last-second heroics of rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels and wide receiver Noah Brown. With two seconds on the game clock before the snap, Daniels scrambled around for 13 seconds before he unleashed a pass around 65 yards through the air that was tipped into the waiting hands of Brown for the winning score.
Pandemonium ensued at Northwest Stadium. Washington, which had dominated the game until late in the third quarter, led all the way until the Bears scored the go-ahead touchdown with 25 seconds on the clock. Then, Daniels, still hurting from last week’s rib injury, again proved that the Commanders have finally found their franchise quarterback.
The fourth quarter was full of emotional highs and lows for both the Commanders and the Bears. Ultimately, Daniels outshined fellow rookie quarterback Caleb Williams to lead Washington to another win.
Here are the studs and duds from another Commanders’ victory.
