The Maryland Terrapins (12-8, 4-5 Big Ten) host the Nebraska Cornhuskers (15-5, 5-4) in a crucial home game on January 27 at noon. This game carries crucial Tournament implications for both teams as they are both in range of a top 4, double-bye in the tournament with their records.
Nebraska sits at 5-4 and is currently 5th in the Big Ten, but all four of those losses come on the road. They recently lost to Rutgers and Iowa.
Maryland has been reversing last year’s terrible road trend with two victories in opposing barns against Iowa and Illinois, and looks to put it together at home after a close loss to Michigan State a week ago.
Both teams are still technically in the at-large conversation for the NCAA tournament, but Maryland is on a short leash at 12-8. Nebraska will need to get wins on days like today to be considered for a top 8 seed but sits pretty comfortably at 15-5 for a bid.
Tip-off is noon Eastern Time in College Park.
