The Washington Commanders entered Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers as 9.5-point favorites. Washington didn’t wait long to jump on the Panthers when linebacker Dante Fowler Jr. intercepted Andy Dalton and returned it 67 yards for a touchdown.
They weren’t done, as the Commanders built a 27-0 lead heading into halftime en route to a 40-7 win over Carolina. However, there was some concern during the game as rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels departed with a rib injury. Daniels did not return, but his mother offered a positive update on his health.
Washington is now 5-2 and is the NFL’s highest-scoring team. As you’d expect, X — formerly Twitter — was excited. Here are some reactions to Washington’s latest performance.
