Vernon Davis joined the Trap or Dive Podcast to discuss Washington, his playing time, and post-NFL acting career
Vernon Davis has had an incredible professional career. He was a former starting NFL tight end, an active investor, and now an actor in his post-NFL career. Despite his busy schedule, he doesn’t stray too far away from the Washington Commanders. Davis joined the Trap or Dive Podcast this week to share his thoughts on the incredible turnaround with his hometown team, the Washington Commanders. More importantly, he is excited to see what’s all in store for receiver Terry McLaurin and rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Regarding McLaurin, Davis had a brief stint with Terry as they were teammates in 2019, and both had outstanding season debuts individually in the week one matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Davis instantly saw a playmaker in McLaurin, as McLaurin was dominating in practice early on, and as we know, it also translated to the games. He believes the best is yet to come for Terry. He also thinks the same for Jayden Daniels, who is still going through their first professional season. Davis is convinced that Daniels is already one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. This duo has so much ahead of them. Statistically speaking, they are performing at an unquestionably high level that McLaurin had not yet reached with any other Washington quarterback he has previously played with.
