Player Overview
In Stafford, Virginia, Adin Huntington showed that he was a superior athlete. As a football player, he played on the defensive line and at linebacker and amassed 81 tackles, 27.5 TFLs, and 14.5 sacks as a senior. He was named the 2019 Commonwealth Player of Year for this performance. Huntington also shined as a track athlete, running the 100m, 200m, and 400m relays. He was clocked running 100m in 11.4 seconds. With all his talent, Huntington was only a two-star recruit. Despite offers to stay in Virginia from James Madison and Virginia state, he decided to start his college career at Kent State.
The pandemic shortened Huntington’s first college season, so he only played in a few games as a true freshman. The next season, he started to find his groove with the Golden Flashes, seeing three starts and putting up respectable stats on the way to a MAC Championship Game appearance. After breaking out, he only played in five games the following season. It was his last for Kent State; Huntington transferred to UL-Monroe. Huntington hit his stride again with terrific numbers, but the Warhawks struggled to win games. He would enter the portal one last time, finding his way to Tulane. His play helped Tulane get to an AAC Championship game, earning him All-AAC honors.

- Stout enough to not be knocked off rush lane by blockers
- High-motor player who hustles to the ball
- Inside-outside versatility
Weaknesses
- Lacks ideal length for the edge position
- For his size, would like to see more power rushes
- Needs to develop more pass rush moves and counters
- Can get stuck on blocks if he does not win immediately
- Would like to see more reps where he holds the point of attack

A notable from today’s Commanders Local Day — Tulane DL Adin Huntington, who Washington has continued to express interest in throughout the predraft process.
He met separately with HC Dan Quinn, GM Adam Peters & pass rush specialist Ryan Kerrigan, I’m told. A name to know on…

Adin Huntington is a DT prospect in the 2025 draft class. He scored a 9.64 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 74 out of 2021 DT from 1987 to 2025.
Small update for cone, ups his score a little bit. https://t.co/5GzbA84Cd5 pic.twitter.com/GRoKbWFQHR

How does he fit on the team
If there is a position group that has undergone a huge transformation, it’s the Commanders’ defensive line. Mainstay Jonathan Allen is gone along with the sack leader from last season, Dante Fowler, Jr. The Commanders brought in Eddie Goldman and Javon Kinlaw to beef up the middle of the line and Deatrich Wise for some depth on the edge. Still, more work needs to be done.
Adin Huntington has a very strong game both on Youtube and on the football field. He’s explosive off the snap, making him disruptive in both the pass and run game. If the Commanders want someone that is quick out of his stance and that arrives violently, Huntington fits the bill. His lack of length helps him establish leverage against blockers, but also makes it hard to shed and disengage at times. On early downs, he sets the edge and stops the run. On passing downs, he could kick inside and use his explosiveness to beat slower interior blockers. Some will see Huntington as versatile prospect while others will see a tweener. If Huntington can expand his skillset on the edge and play a little stronger on the interior, he could be a quality rotational player.
