The Washington Commanders defeated the Detroit Lions last night to move on to the NFC Championship game next Sunday. It was a great game, but there was also a pretty significant injury. Sam Cosmi was rolled up on and was visibly in a lot of pain. He left the game and didn’t return. He was seen on crutches after the game, and now he is set to have an MRI to assess the damage.
Ian Rapoport is reporting that it’s feared to be a significant knee injury, and Cosmi is not expected to play again during the postseason. Trent Scott replaced Cosmi at RG and did a fine job. Its likely that he will get the opportunity to start there for the remainder of Washington’s playoff run.

#Commanders standout guard Sam Cosmi, who left Saturday’s win with a knee injury, will have an MRI this morning. But sources describe the injury as potentially serious and Cosmi will almost certainly miss next week and beyond if WAS advances.
