Place your bets!
We’re waiting patiently for Sunday night’s playoff game between the Washington Commanders and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for Super Wild Card Weekend. As a part of this weekend of playoff football, both college and pro, our friends at FanDuel are offering what they’re calling a “Playoff Payoff” promotion, where you can make a “no-sweat” same game parlay each day. If your bet should lose, you’ll receive your original bet back in bonus bets.
No-Sweat Token Details
All you have to do is log in to your account, claim your No-Sweat Token, build your 3+ Leg SGP with total odds of +100 or longer, toggle on your No-Sweat Token, and place your bet. If your bet loses, you will get a refund in Bonus Bets.
There are also No-Sweat Tokens for the Cotton Bowl featuring Texas and Ohio State on Friday night and all three days of the NFL’s Wild Card round. That’s right, you can make one No-Sweat bet per day Thursday through Monday.
If I were a gambling man and wanted to test my luck by putting down a parlay bet on Sunday night’s game, here are the three bets that I would combine to make that happen.
Zach Ertz: Anytime touchdown scorer (+240)
Zach Ertz has had a big impact on the Washington Commanders offense and he has been an incredible safety valve for rookie QB Jayden Daniels. He has scored three touchdowns over the last two games. He should see a lot of action over the middle against the Buccaneers and will get his scoring opportunities when the team gets into the red zone. Terry McLaurin is obviously another strong option here as he plays in his second playoff game during the best season of his career.
Austin Ekeler: Over 2.5 catches (+102)
Austin Ekeler returned last week after missing the previous four games due to his second concussion of the season. He played 60% of the snaps against the Cowboys and had two receptions for 20 yards. Ekeler should be a big part of Washington’s offense, and I expect him to be on another easy outlet for Jayden Daniels as they face Todd Bowles’ blitzing defense. Ekeler had four receptions for 58 yards in Washington’s Week 1 loss to Tampa Bay.
Frankie Luvu: Record a sack (+182)
The Washington Commanders weren’t able to sack the elusive Baker Mayfield in Week 1, and DC Joe Whitt Jr talked about the need to treat him like a RB, not a smaller QB. Frankie Luvu has had an excellent first season with Washington, and has 8 sacks for the season. He was just named to the All-Pro second team, and the Commanders will need him to get home against Mayfield, and get him off of his game. Mayfield led the league in interceptions with 16 this season, and pressuring him early will be key to getting him off his game. Enter Frankie Luvu.
If you put these three bets together as a same game parlay, right now it will give you odds of +1568, meaning a $100 bet would get you a payout of $1568 ($1468 in profit). That’s a pretty good return, on a bet that has a decent chance to hit on Sunday night.
