Get ready for game day!
Week 3 of the 2024/25 NFL season opened with the New York Jets dominating the New England Patriots on Thursday night. Washington is 1-1 after beating the New York Giants last week. They’re now heading to Cincinnati to face the Bengals as the second game of a Monday Night Football doubleheader. Washington opened as 7.5 point underdogs, and that line has held all week. The Over/Under dropped from 48.5 to 46.5.
The Bengals come into this game with an 0-2 record. They were shocked by the Patriots in Week 1, and then lost a close one to the Chiefs last week. Cincinnati needs a win badly, and will be looking to make a statement in primetime against an opponent that isn’t supposed to be very good this year.
Jayden Daniels has looked like the best rookie QB through two games, and he gets his first chance to show an NFL primetime audience his progression from college. Washington needed seven field goals to beat the Giants last week, and they will need to finish more of their drives with touchdowns if they want to pull off the upset tonight. Washington’s defense will get another test against Cincinnati WRs Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.
